If you're looking for a super lightweight rail system that is one piece, look no further. I gave this rail the nod over the Larue due to the weight difference. A few ounces add up to real weight over the choices of several items.
You'll need a low profile gas block when using a carbine gas system with the 10" rail.
Installation is fairly easy for even a novice. The most difficult thing you will encounter is alignment of the rail system to the top rail of the upper receiver.
It is mandatory that you use an upper receiver action block. You'll also need the Daniels Defense proprietary barrel wrench.
Be very careful with this barrel wrench. It is easy to round off the steel nubs if you're not careful.

This is a high quality procuct. It mounts up very solid and looks great. It is a little difficult to install so you better have all of the correct tools.
