These are vital to protecting those rails of todays tactical uppers as well as ungloved hands. They are durable yet very easy to cut with scissors or a utility knife. Cheaper to put these on then maybe damage a rail.

I bought these for my Larue rail system, they make such a big difference when they are on there, I'm able to hold on to the rail with great comfort. I have small hands so the full cover style rail covers were out of the question. I'll definitely buy more of these for my future AR builds that will have a rail system.
