To replace your exsisting standard fixed front sight on your AR15, M16, M4.
 
Easy bolt on design for a simple installation
A deployed height that is the same as the F-makr front sights.
A lock detent button that locks the front blade in the folded position as well as the deployed position.
Features MI's super smooth and reliable ball detent design for extreme durability and reliability under all conditions.
As with all MI front sights, the FST uses a standard M16A2 front sight with elevation adjustment.
Base machined from 4140 stell with Mil-Spec magnesese phosphate finishing.
Folding blade machined from 6061T6 with hard coat anodizing.
Weight is 5.3 oz.

Just not typical MI quality.... February 17, 2011

The flip-up part of the sight is solid and works nicely. However, the design is just bad. The 3 set screws were a recipe for disaster as they receive unequal torque when tightened, which is what happened and the steel cracked on mine after being installed a few weeks. Also, the gas tube pin is very tight to put in and may get damaged doing so. Just not an overall good design and this made me stay away from MI for the future. VLTOR makes one that is designed better and I just installed it.
