great stock |

My first impression on taking it out of the box was, "Wow, this thing is really wide." It's got to be close to 2.5-3" wide. With the included polymer rounds it slides own very easily if you take it slow and don't force anything. It locks up very tight, which is to be expected from anything from Magpul with a locking lever. It is pretty heavy, which is welcomed on anything with longer than a 14.5" barrel as it serves as a nice counterweight and improves the balance of the rifle and as my wife put, "it feels lighter". At the ready it provides a very comfortable and, more importantly, very repeatable cheek weld. It is a bit longer than the stock I used previously(a standard CAR stock), which is nice because it extends the front forward enough to prevent the stock from grabbing hairs if one has a long beard.
Overall, this is another awesome product from Magpul.

I wasn't quite sure when I got this stock what to expect, I bought it on a whim to check it out. Fully collapsed everytime I bring it up my LOS is dead on think LMT Sopmod but cheaper and more compartments with Magpul polymer. This thing weights 14oz but well worth it since its 1 piece unlike the UBR which has a tendency to break the locking tab. The OAL is just short of 8in and my only gripe is my Noveske endplate QD swivel is slightly depressed when full collapsed but it won't go anywhere boxed in which makes up for it, and installing/uninstalling might be a PITA due to the dummy rounds included which are used to pry a small button up which you could do by hand with the CTR, and they didn't include any QD swivel points like the newer Sopmod/CTR have built in. Doesn't pull whiskers at all. When I first pulled it out of the box I slammed it as hard as I could on the ground, slight scratch thats all, this thing is beefy and made to last.
