I was skeptical at first when I bought the AFG. The pre-stock write up that bravo had on their facebook showed that the gurus at magpul put alot of thought into this small piece of polymer. I just took it to the range today on my ar15 with an extended length free floating rail. I mounted the afg as far foward as I could and it was very comfortable, and I did notice that I was able to keep a positive grip at all times. Further range sessions will dictate if I will change out the rest of my vert grips to afgs. The AFG in my opinion, is going to have the people that love it, and people that might not. Best advice I can give is find a friend that has one on their rifle and give it a try. Other than that, the afg comes with 2 middle insert styles. One flat, and one with a finger index grove. I chose the one with the grove as this provided a great reference point. All in all, Im happy with the buy, and once agin, magpul shows that they are a true inovater in the AR15 community.
