This is probably the best update to the AR platform ever. I don't even remember how to use my rifle without it.

This is such a simple improvement to your AR weapon system that it leaves me with one simple question. Why did it take so long to get it just right? Leave it to the folks at Magpul to get it just right. Great job guys! On a different note, the decals in my package were a great touch.

So simple, but works so well.
In 2009, I have found 2 "must have" products on ALL my AR15 carbine.
1) The BCMGUNFIGHTER Charging Handle, and 2) The Magpul BAD Lever
Both of these additions allow the AR15 platform to continue to be the best carbine after 40+ years in service.

Magpul BAD lever |

The idea is great. I was very bummed to see how much this product amplified the wobble in my bolt catch. I have a DoubleStar lower receiver and a RRA lower parts kit. I noticed the wobble prior to assembling the BAD. With the BAD, the wobble is greatly increased. The lever moves back and forth about 1/4'' when the bolt isn't locked to the rear. I can move the BAD in small circles making contact w/ the receiver in the trigger guard.. may cause unnecassary scratching. When locked to the rear, the BAD is solid. I think that the problem could be somewhat fixed by buying a new bolt catch from maybe Colt(etc.), or maybe trying to fit a very small washer in with the bolt catch to minimize movement within the receiver.
ALSO: The BAD lever is compliant w/ KNS antiroll pins. I have the Gen 2. There is no interference whatsoever.
The product will take some getting used to. I accompanied my order with the BCM Gunfighter charging handle Mod 3 which is SWEET! These two go hand-in-hand!
