Great back up! |

Just as the name implies, this is an excellent "Back Up Sight." It is on par with the size of competitor offerings and doesn't take up much rail space. It is lighter than most other BUS's I've used. The sight, however, does not lock up in the deployed position. Rather, spring tension holds it in place. For this reason and its' polymer makeup I would only use it as a back up to a good optic, and not as a primary. For me, it rides behind an Aimpoint M4. At this price point, it is a great deal to have a little assurance if your optic goes down.

Another great product from one of the leaders in Ar-i5 products.Everything i have ever bought and used from Magpul would get 5 stars. I purchased rear sight only and it is a quality sight.Just as good as or better than some of the irons i've seen and used.$55!awesome

Magpul MBUS - Great Value |

I purchased the MBUS sights - front and back - because they are made by a company who is known for quality products, and because the set is half the price of a BUIS set.
I gave them 5 stars because the sights mounted easily and securely; zeroed easily; maintained zero after a few hundred rounds; and generally exhibited the quality I expect from Magpul products.
The polymer seems tough, although I am not about to test it by dropping my rifle.
Right now, these are the only sights on my rifle and they let me hit my target accurately shot after shot. You can't ask much more than that for a sub $100 pair of backup sights.
