Description   Made in the U.S.A. by Midwest Industries, Inc.  CNC Machined from billet aluminum and hardcoat anodized to milspec, this mount is built strong enough for military use and abuse.  Features a co-witness height when mounted on a flat top AR15, M16, M4, M4A1.   Features True Co-Witness height Compatible for use with rear mounted back up sight. Large surface area of contact with the rifles rail for extreme rigidity and strength. Cross bolt with built in recoil lug for repeatable zero if the mount is removed. Military thumbscrew that can be easily grasped with your fingers or tightened with a coin or screwdriver. Simple. Robust. Effective. June 5, 2009 Reviewer: Wombat from NM   Like all of Midwest Industries products, this mount is solidly built without being over-engineered.  The wide ring puts more surface area on the sight tube which translates to better strength and stability.  Maintains zero after being removed and re-installed.  It doesn't occupy much space on your Picatinny rail, so there's more room for magnifiers and such.  No throw levers or huge quick-release knobs to catch on gear.  Everything I want in a mount, and nothing I don't want.  Highly recommended for the combat minimalist.
