A little difficult at first due to the "Bravo" handguard tool being week. But once I got it in place, it is an amzing fit and the quality is there. The price is right and this is the forearm that I would use on every AR I build.

I had put a cca aluminum handguard on my m4.. That was a mistake! It was loose and moved around and my accessories did the same!! Then i put on the mI17.. What a handguard!!! ROCK SOLID!! And your accessories that mount to it will be rock solid also... A must buy for anybody looking for a great handguard!!!!A+++++++++++++++

These 2 Piece Handguards suprised me one I installed them on my rifles. They locked up very tightly with no slop or play between the upper and lower halves. I definately reccomend these for anyone that wants a quality product for a great price! A+

I admit I'd rather have a free float rail system, but prices today for more expensive free float systems are pretty steep and most require an gunsmith to install them.
I've used Surefire rails, DD Omega rails and now the MI two piece rail system, just to save some money on another build with a 10.5" barrel. I'm very please with the craftmanship of this rail system, especially for it's price tag.
While it's a free float system, if your not hanging too much gadgetry off the rail you will not notice any POI shift with system. If you do hang a PEQ/2, light with mount, forgrip and Bi-Pod you will notice a bit shift that would not be there with free float system.
If your only going to hang a light and forgrip off of this system, then it's not going to hurt you to save some money from other big name manufacturers. Good system, easy install and your on your way !!
