Description   Two piece free floating tactical handguards for your AR15 or M4 with a Carbine Length gas system.  This two piece model features rails that extend past the front sight base.  Perfect for those that prefer to run lights, LAMs or other accessories farther out on the weapon. Made by MI (Midwest Industries, Inc.)  CNC machined from aircraft grade lightweight aluminum and hard coat anodized to milspec.  Features USGI type laser etched T-marks to provide addressing for mounting and remounting accessories.  These handguards provide a Free Floating monolithic looking modular platform for mounting of tactical accessories such as vertical grips, laser sights, LAMs, flashlights, sling mounts, bipods, and optics.   For installation, the front sight base does not need to be removed.  These MI free float handguards install over the original OEM barrel nut.     Generation 2 Model - 14.0 oz.     Features No Removal of Barrel or Front Sight for Installation. (Simply cut off the delta ring for a easy install. ) MIL-STD 1913 Rails. T-marked for Accessory Location. Constructed of 6061 Hard Coat Anodized for a Lifetime of Service. Super quality, great looking rail!!! March 7, 2007 Reviewer: James L. Pitts from Holualoa, HI United States   This was my second MI free float rail install. (I did an MI #20 first) My Dremel tool had a broken collett and so I resorted to a small hacksaw to remove the D ring. It was actually faster than using the Dremmel. I put the rail on a 16" heavy barrel carbine and it is first class in looks and quality. Sincere compliments to MI and Bravo Co. You will not be disappointed with this rail!  Fine piece of gear!
