I purchased the front flip up sight based on the good reviews it received. The front sight post and detent spring flew out of the housing after flipping the front sight into the up position, after i inspected it the threads in the housing appeared to be stripped and the only thing holding it in place was the spring pressure. I am very dissapointed in the quality of this product and will not be purchasing another midwest industries product again. I am going to try to return to bravo co. for an exchange or refund if the will allow me. BRAVO COMPANY GAVE ME FULL CREDIT FOR THE SIGHT AND RETURN SHIPPING I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE SPEED OF THE ENTIRE PROCESS I WILL BE DOING BUISNESS WITH THEM AGAIN, B C USA GAVE ME TOP NOTCH SERVICE WHICH IS HARD TO FIND!!!

I ordered this sight to install on the gas piston system on my M4. During zeroing, the front sight post and spring popped out of the housing. It's apparently machined to a smaller size than the drilled and threaded portion of the housing and will not stay in the housing. This is totally unacceptable. I am currently deployed, and as an operator, I would not be willing to bet my life on the reliability of this product.

I have the Midwest Industries folding front sight mounted on my Rock River M4, modified with the Adams Arms piston kit. My primary optic is a Trijicon RX01NSN. The MI front sight co-witnesses perfectly with the reflex sight, in the bottom third of the field of view. It is solid and maintains zero after removal and re-installation. Also, the round protective ears form a circle-within-a-circle when the sights are aligned, which is easier to pick up with the naked eye than the outward spread ears of the standard A2 front sight. Workmanship is excellent, and the front sight snaps into place like a quality folding lockback knife. I would not hesitate to buy this same product again.

Installed on my S&W M&P15OR. The M&P15OR has a small rail on the gas block the same height as the upper rail. This sight seems to work. Have only laser sighted so far, but seems to be right on. Sight is very well made and locks firmly upright.

Fits perfectly on a Troy free float rail.
Sight is very solid when in the locked, upright position.
Ranks right up there with sights that cost much more money.
Have purchased many MI items for my two AR's. Never been disappointed with any of their products.
