This rail installs easily. You only have to remove the front sling swivel that is attached to the FSB. I used a dremel to gently remove a little of the rivet then with a punch, the swivel will pop out easily. The handguard mounts solidly onto the receiver via the barrel nut and receiver rail. This gives a rock solid connection between the two. The lower part of the handguard swings into place and connects via a latch near the FSB. This is not the most secure connection and I can see this coming loose or possibly weakening in the future but overall, this rail looks and feels nice. you can customize where the rails go which keeps the handguard clean without the need to rail panels. Another negative point is that this handguard will scratch easily, however it is still my favorite handguard out of the Troy, Samson, and DD Omega that I own. This CAS-V is not nearly as heavy as it looks!
